Reliably implement the EUDR with Check Your Value Chain
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the EU-wide regulation on deforestation-free supply chains, has been in force since 29 June 2023. It replaces the previous EU Timber Regulation and aims to prevent the EU market from contributing to global deforestation and forest degradation and to counteract the loss of biodiversity. The EUDR Regulation obliges all market participants and non-SME traders to comply with strict due diligence obligations to reduce global deforestation. From 30 June 2026, SME traders will also be obliged to comply with the EUDR.
Benefits
Full coverage of EUDR regulations
With the EUDR module, you benefit from a comprehensive end-to-end solution that covers all due diligence requirements – including data collection, risk analysis and risk mitigation.
Reliable data sources and partners
To ensure deforestation-free products, we rely on index data verified by our PwC experts and trusted partners for satellite imagery.
Comprehensive data acquisition
With the EUDR solution, different ways of data collection are possible: manual processes, requests to suppliers or our partner TRACES as well as an API to your systems.
High degree of automation
Before placing an order, you can have the products automatically checked for EUDR conformity in advance. This simulation within the EUDR software provides an initial risk profile.
PwC's digital solution for EUDR compliance: one module for all requirements
Our EUDR compliance software supports your company in carrying out a comprehensive EUDR risk assessment. By analysing your supply chains in detail, it identifies potential macroeconomic and deforestation risks, evaluates them and thus creates the basis for taking appropriate measures to meet compliance requirements.
01
Data collection
You can request the data from your suppliers or from TRACES using a questionnaire. Alternatively, you can also import the data into the EUDR module yourself.
02
Risk assessment
In order to identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain, the collected data is bundled by the EUDR software and subjected to a comprehensive risk assessment. Data aggregation enables a holistic view of the risks associated with the information collected.
03
Risk minimisation
Based on the results of the risk assessment, measures can be documented in the software – for example, checking certificates or carrying out self-assessments.
04
Reporting
The Deforestation Regulation Manager summarises the results in a report. When analysing the report, you have the option of clustering both by supplier and by product. This allows you to understand the data according to specific criteria and plan or take appropriate measures.
05
Submission of the EUDR declaration of due diligence
In the final step, you generate the due diligence declaration, which documents all the steps taken and their results, thereby proving your EUDR compliance. Finally, you upload the declaration to the connected EU information system by the deadline.
