Abstract

Investment law has undergone a fundamental reorganisation with the implementation of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIMF) Directive and the introduction of the German Capital Investment Code (Kapitalanlagegesetzbuch, or KAGB). Taking the investment triangle as a starting point, the poster illustrates clearly and transparently which specific supervisory requirements are concerned. It provides an overview, from the definition of “investment fund”, the different fund types and their investment options, to the criteria for investment fund valuation. The poster outlines the possibilities for the custody of assets, lists remuneration requirements, and illustrates the crucial aspects of delegation. Regulatory requirements regarding risk management, capital and reporting are also included, as are the future implications of Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) V and Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) II.
