Die weltweite Nachfrage nach Stahl wird in den nächsten Jahren weiter steigen, allerdings langsamer als zuletzt erwartet. Nach aktuellen Berechnungen nimmt der globale Stahlverbrauch bis zum Jahr 2025 um durchschnittlich 2,9 Prozent pro Jahr auf insgesamt 2,23 Milliarden Tonnen zu – fünf Prozent weniger als in der Vorjahrsprognose (2,35 Milliarden Tonnen).
