2015 war für die chemische Industrie ein Rekordjahr: Nie zuvor war das Gesamtvolumen der Transaktionen, Übernahmen und Unternehmensfusionen (M&A) in dieser Branche höher. Insgesamt belief sich der Wert der Deals Ende des Jahres auf 156,2 Mrd. USD. Allein das vierte Quartal schlug mit 91 Mrd. USD zu Buche und lag damit über den Gesamtvolumina der Vorjahre.
